I lördags höll textilkonstnär Kerstin Åsling sin ateljé öppen för besökare. Kerstin är något av en vävningens grand lady. Just nu visas hennes arbeten i den stora utställningen "Hommage till Textilia" på Röhsska museet i Göteborg och på Konstslöjdsalong 2010 på Arkitekturmuseet i Stockholm. I ateljén visade hon trasvävar i olika tekniker men också den knappvävsteknik som hon utvecklat under senare år.

Last Saturday textile artist Kerstin Åsling had her studio open for all visitors. Kerstin is a "grand lady of weaving". At the moment her work can be seen in the big textile exhibition "Hommage to Textilia" at the Röhss museum in Göteborg and at the applied arts salon, Konstslöjdsalong 2010, at Arkitekturmuseet in Stockholm. Here, in the studio, one could talk with her about rag rug techniques and take a closer look at the button weaves she developed over the last years.
